My cat, Tobi, was 26 pounds 5 years ago. He's now down to 15. A very carefully controlled diet (raw food), and nerves of steel on my part were only a few things that helped me. Thank you so much for reminding us (or some hearing for the first time!) how important it is for kitties to exercise! I get lazy with the feather toy, but my sweet kitty girl loves playing with a ribbon (NOT string, nothing she can swallow! I have a loop on one end that stays in my wrist)We go for walks up and down the hall, I really might need to look into this wheel. Praise works wonders in my house too! 🙂
What a great story. I’ve had many a cat from basically foundlings. Little eyes on the side of the road and those kitties have been the best! I think they know they have been saved. I could be a crazy cat lady personally.
Monique , you got me rolling with laughter . I do not know of one person who has a cat as a fur baby that doesn't have claw marks in the furniture or did until they recovered it. 🙂 I know first hand, I bought a beautiful chair in the house and it was like with in minutes that the cats would climb on it and start clawing at it , lay up to the front of the chair and dig it -ended up putting it in the bed room after I recovered it :/ and got another chair that was just a second hand one that they could rip the tar out of it, it is better that they claw up one you don't give to hoots about instead of a nice custioned one that you fell in love with the moment you saw it. lol .
Yes, we just bought a brand new leather recliner couch that one of my kitties is using as a scratching post. Now, I'm trying to find out how to fix the repairs. I did by a spray in hopes that the cat's won't scratch on it. Wish me luck!!
Hey Monique, I just stumble across your channel. I am digging it!!! I'm 51 years old, married, professional woman. Collectively we have 2 adult children, 3 cats and a dog. I love your channel. Now, I have a 21lb and 23lb cat, however; they are Mainecoon Kitties. I am so looking forward to seeing more video's from a woman who is in my age group!!!
Colby seems to be passive aggressive? Maybe he's jealous of the attention that you're giving Sequel?… This video makes me wish I had a cat! (really) I can't afford the pet deposit and the extra rent, though.
