I hate this, these animals are NOT TOYS NOR ACCESSORIES, these people have the RESOURCES to care and provide for these animals and still they treat them like disposable garbage.

"kardashian pet curse"??? it's called "laziness." these are poorly thought out ideas for gifts. animals should NOT be given as birthday gifts, or as throwaway gifts. the owners are NOT expecting them and it's a commitment they may not be prepared for. look at the slew of animals mentioned here. "happy endings"? I doubt it. these animals were purchased because they were expensive, showy breeds and because they looked interesting. how MANY boxer pups does one family need?? (especially when they just get rid of them when they become inconvenient or large, past the cute puppy stage.)
