Puppy Rescue Mission is just one of the incredible organizations that benefits from GreaterGood.org’s Pets&Vets program. The funding PRM recieves through Pets&Vets helps bring animals that have become “battle buddies” with soldiers in conflict zones to the United States.

Odin was a stray until he wandered into a U.S. Marine encampment in the Republic of Georgia. The Marines fed him and cared for him, and when it was time to come home, one Marine reached out to Puppy Rescue Mission so Odin wouldn’t have to be left behind.

He sent this plea to Puppy Rescue Mission:

“Judging by his clipped ears and tail Odin started his life as a sheepdog. After he wandered into our camp, it was clear he had been left behind by his shepherd. After one can of spam and a bowl of fresh water, Odin became a part of the family. He bonded immediately with the rest of our dogs and all of us as well.

Despite his rough upbringing and life as a stray, he remains the kindest, gentlest dog I have had the pleasure of interacting with. I would like to give Odin the life full of happiness and love he deserves after such a tough start.”

Thanks to help from their supporters, GreaterGood.org was able to contribute funds and help bring Odin to the United States! Today, Odin is an amazing dog that is loved by all that meet him. He is now living in Cayse, SC and living an active life with his Marine Daddy.
