I took the new CAT CISSP at the end of Jan. I didn't pass. I used the Sybex book and practice questions. The test questions were not in the format of the practice test. As you stated, they were more of the "best, most, likely" format. I felt like I had a good grasp of the material, but apparently not. I've been an IT security technician for 6 years. They are testing more on actually applying what is in the book as opposed to just memorization of the material. I had very few definition or straight forward questions. I scored well in 4 domains, but did not score well in the other 4. I'm hoping that some of the material you have shared will help fill in some gaps.
Heads up, I went to a boot camp and used a test dump to study for the exam I passed back in Oct 2017 and am just now getting a cert revocation message and I need to retake the test in this new CAT format. Just a message about test dumps. I don't know what triggered it but everyone in my class got pulled.
congrats on your Exam, quick question. apart from the CISSP Exam guide and past questions in posted links. Did you take a class for it or you self studied.
Congrats on passing! I will sit in March. I’ve read Shon Harris’s 2013 book and have been going through Sybex’s question bank. Were you able to write down things to remember (e.g., mnemonics or stuff you’ve always flubbed)?
Hey I have recently started studying for the CISSP certification. I have no IT experience and therefore minimal knowledge on the subject. Is there somewhere else I should start or is it ok to start with CISSP?
Thank you for sharing and congratulation 🙂
Are you or anyone you know CASP certified? I'd like to see a video on it.
?????? and thank you
